Whoopi Goldberg won\u2019t be appearing on \u201cThe View\u201d this week because she is out of the country.<\/p>\n
The \u201cSister Act\u201d actress confirmed that she would not be appearing in any of this week\u2019s episodes of the ABC talk show in a post shared via her Instagram Story Monday.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you notice I\u2019m not on \u2018The View\u2019 this week it\u2019s because I\u2019m in Italy working,\u201d she captioned a photo of herself seated in a makeup chair. <\/p>\n

She then posted a second video in which she was trying to speak Italian while getting a manicure. <\/p>\n
Goldberg, 70, was noticeably MIA during Monday\u2019s episode of the show, leaving her co-hosts Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines and Alyssa Farah Griffin to fend for themselves.<\/p>\n
The actress \u2014 who celebrated her 70th birthday with an over-the-top, on-air celebration last Thursday \u2014 previously shared that she would be starring in the Italian soap opera \u201cUn Posto Al Sole.\u201d<\/p>\n
