Bills receiver Keon Coleman told reporters after Sunday\u2019s win over the Buccaneers that he knows he has to be<\/a> better and do the right things after he was a healthy scratch for Sunday\u2019s game because he was late to a meeting.<\/p>\n

On Monday, head coach Sean McDermott said the team is going to take a \u201cone day at a time\u201d approach with Coleman, noting the importance of Coleman learning from it.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou grow from it, we can move forward. You don\u2019t grow from it, it\u2019s hard to move forward<\/a>,\u201d McDermott said in his news conference. \u201cSo, ultimately, it comes down to developing trust and that trust that your teammates have in you. And that trust builds through repetition and consistency.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s the direction we need him to go and where we believe he will go.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is not the first disciplinary action Coleman has faced in his young career, which is part of the reason why there\u2019s less tolerance for what Coleman did among the coaching staff and his teammates.<\/p>\n

\u201cKeon knows now he\u2019s in the hot seat and he needs to come on and show up for it<\/a>,\u201d left tackle Dion Dawkins said after Sunday\u2019s game, via Matt Parrino of Syracuse.com. \u201cPats on the back are over with, and it\u2019s time for him to grow up, and he knows it.\u201d<\/p>\n
