PHOENIX \u2014 The city of Glendale announced Monday that it is bringing back Valley Metro\u2019s RideChoice, a low-cost ride program for residents with disabilities.<\/p>\n

RideChoice<\/a> is meant to provide Arizonans with more flexibility and access to transportation around the Valley.<\/p>\n

The city will start offering the service to residents who are certified under the Americans with Disabilities Act for paratransit on Dec. 1.<\/p>\n

Details on RideChoice returning to Glendale<\/p>\n

The program is available for trips that start in Glendale and travel outside city limits.<\/p>\n

Eligible riders can use RideChoice 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year \u2014 even on holidays \u2014 and don\u2019t have to book it 24 hours in advance.<\/p>\n

In addition, users get the car to themselves and do not have to share the vehicle with other passengers during rides.<\/p>\n

The program costs $3 for each one-way trip of up to eight miles, each additional mile after that costs $2.<\/p>\n

After riders\u2019 eligibility is verified, they can call Valley Metro at 602-716-2111 to book rides.<\/p>\n
