JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 Bethany Baptist Church is stepping up to help the community during tough times. <\/p>\n
With federal food stamps on hold due to the government shutdown, the church is hosting a weeklong event to serve hot meals for those in need.<\/p>\n
The event, called \u201cCaring In Crisis – A Jacksonville Community Feeding,\u201d runs from Monday through Friday, November 17\u201320, at 401 Stockton Street. <\/p>\n
Organizers say they are accepting both food and monetary donations. <\/p>\n
Those who can\u2019t make it in person can still help by contributing or volunteering. <\/p>\n
