{"id":386841,"date":"2025-11-18T05:13:13","date_gmt":"2025-11-18T05:13:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/386841\/"},"modified":"2025-11-18T05:13:13","modified_gmt":"2025-11-18T05:13:13","slug":"travel-improves-at-philadelphia-international-airport-after-government-shutdown-caused-disruptions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/386841\/","title":{"rendered":"Travel improves at Philadelphia International Airport after government shutdown caused disruptions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Families and solo travelers at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/philadelphia\/news\/government-shutdown-philadelphia-airport-flights\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Philadelphia International Airport<\/a> described Monday&#8217;s airport conditions as &#8220;better than normal,&#8221; following more than a week of disruption tied to federal flight reductions.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/faa-lifts-emergency-order-slashing-flights\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">FAA lifted its emergency order Monday morning<\/a>, allowing airlines to resume regular scheduling ahead of one of the busiest travel periods of the year.<\/p>\n<p>Traveler Barry Schneider, who flies to Charlotte weekly for work, described his Monday travels as &#8220;perfect.&#8221; It was a response rarely heard throughout the past 10 days, when dozens of daily cancellations forced some passengers to spend the night at gates, miss important events and even\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/philadelphia\/news\/travel-expert-phl-faa-reductions-shutdown\/\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">postpone honeymoons<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Twelve-year-old Jude Gallagher, who returned from a hockey tournament in Nashville, said he wasn&#8217;t sure they&#8217;d even make it to the ice.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I thought it was going to get canceled, the tournament,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>But in the end, his team played \u2014 and made it home on time.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We were good \u2026 we got to play,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Travel experts say stability may have arrived just in time.
