{"id":38725,"date":"2025-07-04T18:29:14","date_gmt":"2025-07-04T18:29:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/38725\/"},"modified":"2025-07-04T18:29:14","modified_gmt":"2025-07-04T18:29:14","slug":"pedestrian-dead-crossing-street-in-south-phoenix","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/38725\/","title":{"rendered":"Pedestrian dead crossing street in south Phoenix"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PHOENIX \u2014 A male pedestrian is dead after being struck by a car while crossing the street on Thursday morning in south Phoenix, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>Police responded to the area of <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/GaMv4xjF177pFZzB8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">16th Street and Broadway Road<\/a> at around 5 a.m. and discovered 21-year-old Angel Gamboa-Serrano on the ground with \u201ccritical injuries,\u201d according to the Phoenix Police Department.<\/p>\n<p>Phoenix firefighters then arrived on the scene and took Gamboa-Serrano to a nearby hospital. He didn\u2019t recover from the injury and died at the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Details of pedestrian death in south Phoenix crosswalk<\/p>\n<p>After initial investigation, detectives learned Gamboa-Serrano had attempted to cross 16th Street outside of the marked crosswalk when the vehicle hit him.<\/p>\n<p>The driver of the vehicle, identified as an adult woman, had \u201cminor injuries\u201d and went to a nearby hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n<p>No other details were provided.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"twitter-follow-button\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/pwmoses11\" data-show-count=\"false\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Follow @pwmoses11<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We want to hear from you.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0px;\">Have a story idea or tip?
