{"id":38749,"date":"2025-07-04T18:41:12","date_gmt":"2025-07-04T18:41:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/38749\/"},"modified":"2025-07-04T18:41:12","modified_gmt":"2025-07-04T18:41:12","slug":"i-dont-think-hes-looking-to-stop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/38749\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;I don\u2019t think he\u2019s looking to stop&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/07\/03\/us-news\/trump-in-midst-of-his-own-golden-age-as-list-of-remarkable-accomplishments-wows-critics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">President Trump<\/a> expressed dismay with <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/07\/03\/world-news\/trump-speaks-with-putin-after-pentagon-stops-missile-shipments-to-ukraine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Russian strongman Vladimir Putin<\/a> early Friday, admitting that the Kremlin tyrant has no interest in stopping his bloody war on neighboring Ukraine anytime soon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m very disappointed with the conversation I had [Thursday] with President Putin because I don\u2019t think he\u2019s there. I\u2019m just saying, I don\u2019t think he\u2019s looking to stop, and that\u2019s too bad,\u201d Trump told reporters after returning to Washington following a <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/07\/03\/us-news\/trump-to-host-ufc-fight-at-white-house-as-part-of-america250-celebration\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">pre-Independence Day event in Iowa<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s [former President Joe] Biden\u2019s war, and I got stuck in the middle of it, just like I did with immigration and a lot of other things that they screwed up,\u201d he went on. \u201cBut I was not happy with the conversation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>President Trump appears to have been souring on Russian leader Vladimir Putin over recent weeks. AP<\/p>\n<p>During the roughly hour-long call, Moscow\u2019s ruler stated that his country \u201cwill not back down\u201d from the \u201cgoals\u201d of its invasion, according to a Kremlin readout.<\/p>\n<p>Russia has insisted that any peace agreement with Ukraine recognize its troop gains in the eastern Donbas region, a prospect Kyiv sees as a red line. <\/p>\n<p>Moscow has also repeatedly rejected American and European cease-fire proposals, which have received buy-in from the Ukrainian government.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to departing for Iowa, the president made clear that \u201cI didn\u2019t make any progress\u201d with his Russian counterpart \u201cat all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this week, the White House <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/07\/01\/world-news\/trump-admin-halts-some-weapons-shipments-to-ukraine-to-put-americas-interests-first\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">confirmed that it had halted shipments<\/a> of missiles and other valuable materiel to Ukraine following a review of American stockpiles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBiden emptied out our whole country, giving them weapons, and we have to make sure that we have enough for ourselves,\u201d the 47th president contended.<\/p>\n<p>Putin has sought to court Trump through a series of overtures and public praise. We have also agreed to a meeting between our teams.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Overnight, Russia again <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/07\/04\/world-news\/russia-pounds-kyiv-with-largest-drone-attack-of-the-war-just-hours-after-trumps-call-with-putin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">pummeled Ukraine<\/a> with more than 500 drones and 11 missiles, breaking its prior record for the largest aerial attack of its kind on Kyiv.<\/p>\n<p>At least 23 were injured in the brutal bombardment. <\/p>\n<p>Russia has been constantly breaking records for its largest aerial attacks on Kyiv as its drone technology advances.
