Marvel<\/strong><\/a> has a movie series that is well worth watching if you’re someone who has been missing the Avengers’ on-screen stories in the MCU in the over half a decade it’s been since we last properly saw them. The MCU timeline<\/a> has been building back up to the return of the Avengers for a considerable chunk of the franchise’s history now, though the ending of Thunderbolts*<\/a> and Captain America: Brave New World builds towards two different Avengers teams being in Avengers: Doomsday.<\/p>\n

This should prove a fascinating prospect to see on-screen, but there’s still a fair wait until then – especially if you’re someone who has been wanting more of the Marvel hero group’s escapades. Should that be the case, it’s worth noting that Marvel has been casually releasing another movie series that may be of particular interest to those hankering for more Avengers adventures.<\/p>\n

With the MCU’s Avengers movies being far more prominent in the pop culture sphere, it’s easy to miss that the franchise has been releasing another Avengers movie series throughout a fair swath of the same period of time.<\/p>\n

Though constructed to be able to be watched individually without missing anything, 10 Lego Avengers movies have been released between 2013 and now <\/strong>– as well as Lego Marvel Avengers: Strange Tails, which is a two-part series that works effectively as another film-esque experience in its own right.<\/p>\n\n

Though these are largely short films, having another selection of films to watch in the now 7-year-long wait between Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Doomsday isn’t a bad thing. While the Lego movies are aimed at being suitable for younger audiences, the films are generally underrated, and contain a sense of humor that is very similar to the MCU Avengers films, alongside some genuinely interesting plotlines, character arcs, and fight scenes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Why The Lego Avengers Movies Are Underrated<\/p>\n

Generally, the more family-friendly and lighthearted tone of the Lego Avengers movies makes it easy to underestimate them. Indeed, given the Lego branding and art style, it’s easy to see why people might write the movies off as fare intended more squarely for younger children, especially as the superhero genre does have releases that are fairly focused on this demographic.<\/p>\n

However, so long as you go into the Lego Avengers movies expecting a fun and light-hearted romp, the films are entertaining examples of what the Avengers’ stories can be like on-screen, and usually contain some story concept that’s easy to connect with that leaves you rooting for the central character or characters – with a prime example being Lego Marvel Avengers: Mission Demolition making you feel for Demolition Man and his true underdog status.<\/p>\n
