Former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann<\/strong> responded on Monday to an article which detailed his alleged former \u201csugar daddy\u201d relationship with journalist Olivia Nuzzi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

An article published by journalist Ryan Lizza<\/strong> went viral on Monday after he accused<\/a> his ex-partner Nuzzi of cheating on him with 65-year-old former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford<\/strong> during the 2020 election.<\/p>\n

In the article, Lizza also detailed<\/a> Nuzzi\u2019s alleged sugar daddy relationship with Olbermann and how he \u201chatched a plan\u201d for Nuzzi to \u201cescape\u201d from the cable news host 34 years her senior.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy this point, I was used to cleaning up Olivia\u2019s messes. Not that long ago, I had helped her untangle herself from an unusual relationship with Keith Olbermann,\u201d Lizza recalled. \u201cShe had messaged him out of the blue. They started talking, and soon after, she fled her unhappy home in suburban New Jersey and started living with Keith in Manhattan.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Lizza, Olbermann \u201cpaid for her to attend college, outfitted her in Tom Ford and Herv\u00e9 L\u00e9ger dresses and some $15,000 worth of Cartier jewelry.\u201d<\/p>\n

Olbermann also allegedly paid for Nuzzi\u2019s rent \u201cand furnished her apartment in a doorman building in the West Village.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile Keith, who was 34 years older, was generous, there were strings attached,\u201d Lizza wrote. \u201cOlivia had concealed the relationship from me and other friends, but one day she told me everything\u2014too much, actually\u2014and together we hatched a plan for her escape.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added that Nuzzi \u201chad felt stalked by Keith after she left him, and we had a strict policy of never engaging with him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Responding to the article in a social media post<\/a>, Olbermann completely ignored the paragraphs about him \u2013 instead focusing on the allegations of Nuzzi\u2019s affair with Sanford.<\/p>\n

\u201cRyan Lizza appears to be accusing Olivia Nuzzi of an affair with Mark Sanford when she was covering HIM in 2020?\u201d reacted Olbermann, along with a facepalm emoji.<\/p>\n

In another post, the former MSNBC host added<\/a>, \u201cThis is me,\u201d attached to a GIF of Neo from The Matrix dodging bullets.<\/p>\n

Nuzzi, who was hired<\/a> as Vanity Fair\u2019s new West Coast editor in September, has not yet publicly responded to the article.<\/p>\n
