Independent Health<\/a> and MVP Health Care announced that Independent Health will join MVP\u2019s family of companies under a new affiliation. The agreement, which is pending regulatory approval, brings together two not-for-profit health insurers headquartered in New York.<\/p>\nThe companies said the affiliation will align their strengths and deepen their shared commitment to improving lives across New York and Vermont. Together, MVP and Independent Health will serve nearly one million members and employ more than 3,000 people across the region.<\/p>\n

The organizations reported that the combined entities will generate $7 billion in annual revenue. They described the move as a pivotal moment for regional health care and an opportunity to advance health care delivery and redefine the role of local health plans.<\/p>\n
