Eric Adams has spent his final weeks as New York City\u2019s mayor flying around the world on the taxpayers\u2019 dime \u2014 as he admits he\u2019s hunting for a jet-setting new gig with first-class benefits.<\/p>\n
Speculation over his future job prospects comes as Hizzoner bolted to Uzbekistan in Central Asia on Tuesday, after wrapping up a high-profile, five-day jaunt in Israel.<\/p>\n
Mayor Adams has spent much of the past month traveling outside of New York City.<\/p>\n
Sources said Adams is leaning toward a job offer with an Israeli-owned international construction company, but still has potential ambassadorships with President Trump\u2019s administration in the pipeline, with one to the Republic of the Congo recently being floated.<\/p>\n
\u201cCountries are calling me and asking me to come and do what I did in New York City,\u201d he told reporters on Election Day.<\/p>\n
Adams, who has roughly six weeks left in office, has noticeably been more frequently absent from the city since he finally dropped his longshot re-election bid<\/a> on Sept. 28.<\/p>\n Within days of that fateful decision, Adams traveled to Albania \u2014 a Balkan nation where his raunchy rapper son Jordan Coleman\u00a0famously competed in an \u201cAmerican Idol\u201d knockoff.<\/a><\/p>\n He then traveled to Washington, DC, on Nov. 6 for a business roundtable \u2014 and prelude to his upcoming trip this week \u2014 with Uzbek President Shavkat Miriziyoyev.<\/p>\n Adams in Tirane, Albania with Prime Minister Edi Rama on Oct. 8, 2025.
