The Vancouver Police Department is investigating after a daytime stabbing on a downtown Vancouver street left one man dead.<\/p>\n

It happened in the afternoon of Monday, Nov. 17, with VPD responding to Granville and Helmcken streets around 3:15 p.m. for reports that a man had been stabbed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe victim, who is currently unidentified, died at hospital,\u201d said the VPD in a release.<\/p>\n

According to police, yesterday\u2019s stabbing death is Vancouver\u2019s 25th homicide of 2025.<\/p>\n

VPD asks anyone with information to contact the Major Crimes Unit at 604-717-2500.<\/p>\n

The first homicide of the year was linked to a body found at the beach near Crab Park<\/a> this spring.<\/p>\n

A teen boy was also murdered<\/a> following a violent altercation near Robson Square in July. An arrest was made in the case<\/a> after a 17-year-old suspect turned themselves in.<\/p>\n

And in September, two people were left dead and two others were seriously injured<\/a> after a stabbing incident in East Vancouver.<\/p>\n

Vancouver police say officers were called shortly before 2 p.m. to reports of violence at a residential building near Vanness Avenue and Spencer Street. When they arrived, they found two homicide victims inside an apartment.<\/p>\n

Two additional people were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
