Laurent Davin<\/p>\n<p>The tiny carving appears to show a nude woman, who doesn\u2019t look too thrilled, bent forward as an oversized goose climbs aboard, its beak pressed gently to her head like some prehistoric lover\u2019s whisper.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The bizarre bauble, dug up with other clay scraps at the Nahal Ein Gev II site in northern Israel, features what researchers say are clearly carved breasts and a triangular pubic patch.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Some optimists have floated a tamer theory \u2014 maybe she was just hauling home a freshly killed bird \u2014 but the goose looks anything but dead and is very much running the show.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Tests <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pnas.org\/doi\/10.1073\/pnas.2517509122\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">indicate the figurine<\/a> was shaped from local clay and fired around 400\u00b0C roughly 12,000 years ago, proving that ancient artisans were, indeed, cooking up some wild scenes.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.50146628;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"37703642\" width=\"886\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/archaeologists-israel-found-rare-ancient-115679949.jpg\" alt=\"Two archaeologists pointing at an ancient figurine depicting a goose embracing a woman.\" class=\"wp-image-37703642\"  \/>The tiny figurine is certainly aged. Laurent Davin<\/p>\n<p>Back then, the region was home to the Natufians \u2014 the OG Middle Eastern trendsetters who ditched the roaming life, built the first real neighborhoods and basically invented staying put.<\/p>\n<p>And the Holy Land keeps <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/10\/29\/science\/ancient-pottery-illuminates-historical-events-described-in-bible\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">serving up surprises <\/a>this month.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As The Post <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/11\/13\/science\/archaeologists-reveal-ritual-objects-tied-to-ancient-biblical-cult\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">previously reported<\/a>, archaeologists recently uncovered Canaanite ritual artifacts \u2014 plus a 5,000-year-old winepress \u2014 near Tel Megiddo.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Israel Antiquities Authority announced on November 5, revealing the dig ran alongside the construction of Highway 66 in the Jezreel Valley.<\/p>\n<p>Tel Megiddo \u2014 aka \u201cArmageddon\u201d from the Book of Revelation \u2014 literally means \u201cmountain of Megiddo\u201d in Hebrew, and the digs unearthed treasures spanning Israel\u2019s Early Bronze Age (around 3000 B.C.) to the Late Bronze Age (circa 1270 B.C.).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The crown jewel?
