Cresa<\/a> is continuing its acquisition spree, scooping up data analytics firm Bluechip Insights and hiring Dave Sawdey as vice president to lead the expanding team.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Cresa\u00a0said it has utilized\u00a0Bluechip\u2019s data for years, relying on its analytics to provide clients with demographic insights, incentive opportunities, real-time labor intelligence and artificial intelligence-powered location analysis.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“With this acquisition, we have equipped our advisors with industry-leading market data intelligence and technology,” Tricia Trester<\/a>, Cresa head of client solutions, said in a press release. “It\u2019s the key to our firm\u2019s growth strategy and a real game changer for us.”<\/p>\n

Sawdey joins Cresa from Avison Young and previously worked at JLL, where\u00a0he was the director of business intelligence.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The brokerage\u00a0acquired\u00a0Dallas-based Fischer<\/a>, a tenant advisory firm with 110 staff members, in October. Since September 2024, it has also picked up Philadelphia-based project management firm NorthStar Owners Representation and Seattle-based Pacific Program Management.\u00a0<\/p>\n

SALES<\/strong><\/p>\n

A private local investor paid $5.6M for a 49K SF industrial property at\u00a03045-3055 MacArthur Blvd. in Northbrook. The single-tenant property is fully leased to UK Abrasives Inc. Marcus & Millichap’s Peter Doughty represented the buyer and the seller in the deal.<\/p>\n

Core Equity Partners acquired the 256K SF Wind Point Shopping Center in Batavia for more than $25M from PMAT Real Estate Investments.\u00a0Mid-America Real Estate\u00a0Corp.’s\u00a0Ben Wineman and Emily Gadomski\u00a0brokered the deal on behalf of the seller.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

Marquette Cos. acquired Aurora at Summerfield,\u00a0a 368-unit apartment community\u00a0at 1847 Clubhouse Drive in Aurora, for an undisclosed price. The community is made up of 26 two- and three-story residential buildings with a mix of one-to-three-bedroom apartments. It is 97% occupied.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Missner Group sold 50 S. Fairbank St., an 80K SF industrial building in Addison, in an off-market transaction. The building was developed in partnership with Realterm and is leased to\u00a0Midwest Solutions, Cytronic and PGW Autoglass.<\/p>\n

A local private investor purchased Park Lawn Plaza, a 13-suite retail property at 9600 S. Pulaski Road in Oak Lawn, for $4.5M from a local real estate investment company.\u00a0Marcus & Millichap\u2019s Adrian Mendoza, Sean Sharko and Austin Weisenbeck marketed the property on behalf of the seller.\u00a0<\/p>\n

LEASES<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jerry’s Fruit & Garden signed a 27K SF industrial lease renewal at 8250 N. Austin Ave. in Morton Grove.\u00a0Lee & Associates’\u00a0Brad Simousek represented Jerry’s, while the owner, Clear Height Properties, was self-represented.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Elite Baseball Training signed a 30K SF lease at an industrial space at 1700 Butterfield Road in Mundelein. The company will use the space to expand its sports training and development operations. Entre Commercial’s Brian Bocci represented the tenant, while NAI Hiffman’s Steve Sullivan represented landlord Red Tail Commercial.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hammerbrush Restoration signed a 29K SF industrial lease at\u00a03605 Swenson Ave. in St. Charles. The company targeted a space that included a conference and office area as well as storage. Brown Commercial Group’s Luke Dummitt represented the tenant, while Lee & Associates’\u00a0Nick Eboli and Andrew Block represented\u00a0landlord Faropoint.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Anesi Ozmon signed an 11K SF office lease renewal at\u00a0161 N. Clark St. in Chicago\u2019s Central Loop. The law firm is having the space reconfigured to include more private offices for attorneys. Bradford Allen\u2019s Ben Azulay and Nathan Meisner represented the law firm.\u00a0<\/p>\n

FINANCING<\/strong><\/p>\n

Barings secured $27.2M in acquisition financing for Market Meadows, a shopping center at\u00a01201-1315 S. Naper Blvd. in Naperville, from Principal Asset Management. The 149K SF shopping center is 98.3% leased. JLL Capital Markets\u2019 Chris Drew, Travis Anderson, Chris Knight,\u00a0Wells Waller and Merrick Evans represented Barings in the financing agreement.<\/p>\n

The Hispanic Housing Development\u00a0Corp. received approval for $13.2M in tax increment financing from the city of Chicago\u2019s Department of Finance for its affordable senior housing development at 1539 N. Pulaski Road.\u00a0The project will provide 61 units for very low-income elderly households while reusing the historic Pioneer Arcade Building.
