BEXAR COUNTY, Texas<\/strong> \u2013 A months-long investigation has led Bexar County deputies to a key suspect in the murder case of a 17-year-old girl.<\/p>\n

Alianna Ujueta<\/a> was shot and killed on Sept. 28. The Bexar County Sheriff\u2019s Office issued an arrest warrant<\/a> for Deshawn Suggs<\/a>, 18, who is accused of her murder. Now, Ujueta\u2019s family is asking for the public\u2019s help.<\/p>\n

\u201cI plead and I ask, help us get this boy\u201a\u201d Ivan Ujueta, Alianna\u2019s dad, said.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what we know<\/a> about what happened on Sept. 28:<\/p>\n

According to BCSO, Alianna was among the teenagers<\/a> at a party on Luckey Road when a fight broke out and someone fired a gun.<\/p>\n

Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said evidence points to Suggs allegedly pulling the trigger.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re actually actively looking for him,\u201d Salazar said. \u201cThis case has been a lot of untangling webs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Salazar said deputies found the weapon they think Suggs used in the shooting, but the sheriff said BCSO didn\u2019t find it with him.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy the time we got (the gun) in possession of us, it had already exchanged hands three, four or five times,\u201d the sheriff said.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why the Ujueta family said they are calling on the community to come forward with any information.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has to place himself at the mercy of the justice system,\u201d Ivan Ujueta said.<\/p>\n
