So, let\u2019s qualify our selection of The New Potato by saying the restrooms are pristine at this EaDo staple. The customers are exceptional folks with high drinking pedigrees. There is a nude woman at the bar, but she\u2019s tasteful and elegant. We\u2019ve never seen a fight in the parking lot, unless you count the internal struggle of leaving a good time behind when the night\u2019s done.<\/p>\n<p>Another connotation of the term \u201cdive bar\u201d is that it\u2019s a place where folks are welcomed. It\u2019s familiar and feels nice, like a warm hug or a shot of tequila. It\u2019s got bartenders you know and love who\u2019ve come to know and love you. The New Potato has all of that in abundance and so much more. The bar itself is a chic, quirky space \u2013 not the exact descriptors one might use for a dive. There\u2019s a massive outdoor area with an outdoor bar, a huge patio, twinkling lights and a well-kempt grassy area for all kinds of frolicking. Bukowski may now be rolling in his grave.<\/p>\n<p>So yeah, maybe The New Potato is just a great bar for folks letting off the steam of the day or celebrating something special with family and friends or just seeking a well-mixed drink stirred and served by nice folks.
