(Ken Linton\/CBC)<\/p>\n<p>Crowder had been under <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/prince-edward-island\/terrorism-guns-terrorism-peace-bond-rare-p-e-i-1.7612999\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a terrorism peace bond<\/a> since Aug. 18. The bond, a tool rarely used in Atlantic Canada, is one of the measures police say they used to keep the community safe during the investigation.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Police say Crowder is in custody and there is no evidence of any ongoing risk to the public.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis case should not be seen as reflective of broader trends in our community,\u201d the RCMP release reads.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cP.E.I. remains one of the safest places in Canada, and this case demonstrates police readiness to respond to even the most serious threats.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>RCMP encourage the public to report any information about terrorism or suspicious activity to the National Security Information Network at 1-800-420-5805, online at the <a href=\"https:\/\/forms-formulaires.alpha.canada.ca\/en\/id\/cma4tau7t01goyr0187bcig4z\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RCMP portal<\/a> or to local police.
