{"id":390407,"date":"2025-11-19T17:54:22","date_gmt":"2025-11-19T17:54:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/390407\/"},"modified":"2025-11-19T17:54:22","modified_gmt":"2025-11-19T17:54:22","slug":"schneider-electric-seals-2-3-billion-in-us-data-centre-deals-to-power-ai-boom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/390407\/","title":{"rendered":"Schneider Electric seals $2.3 billion in US data centre deals to power AI boom"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">By Gianluca Lo Nostro<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">(Reuters) -Schneider Electric said on Wednesday it had signed new deals worth almost $2.3 billion with \u200btwo U.S. data centre operators, as surging adoption \u200cof <a href=\"https:\/\/tech.yahoo.com\/ai\/\" data-ylk=\"slk:artificial intelligence;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">artificial intelligence<\/a> boosts infrastructure demand.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">At an industry event in Las Vegas, the French industrial group \u200cannounced a $1.9 billion partnership with privately held tech firm Switch, covering power modules and cooling systems.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">The second agreement, valued at $373 million and involving uninterruptible power supplies and switchgear, was signed with Texas-based Digital Realty.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">Schneider, France&#8217;\u2060s biggest energy company by \u200cmarket value, has emerged as a key data centre supplier, making server racks, cooling and power equipment that form \u200dthe backbone of AI infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">It is also working with chipmaker <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/NVDA\/\" data-ylk=\"slk:Nvidia;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nvidia<\/a> to design cooling systems for its most powerful AI chips.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">Large-scale cloud service providers, also known as hyperscalers, \u200bare racing to build AI infrastructure. Amazon, Meta, Google \u200cand <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/organizations\/microsoft\/\" data-ylk=\"slk:Microsoft;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Microsoft<\/a> are projected to spend more than $360 billion in 2025, according to company filings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">AI RAMPS UP PRESSURE ON US ENERGY GRID<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">The deal with Switch is Schneider&#8217;s largest cooling services agreement for data centres in North America to date.
