{"id":390639,"date":"2025-11-19T20:13:13","date_gmt":"2025-11-19T20:13:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/390639\/"},"modified":"2025-11-19T20:13:13","modified_gmt":"2025-11-19T20:13:13","slug":"jaxson-dart-takes-step-toward-giants-return-after-concussion-absence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/390639\/","title":{"rendered":"Jaxson Dart takes step toward Giants return after concussion absence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A welcome sight greeted the Giants when they began practice Wednesday in preparation for their game against the Lions Sunday at Ford Field.<\/p>\n<p>Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart was on the field in the team\u2019s indoor practice facility <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/11\/19\/sports\/2026-nfl-draft-jaxson-dart-breakout-creates-options-for-giants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">after missing last week\u2019s game<\/a> against the Packers with a concussion.<\/p>\n<p>Dart, who was knocked out of the Giants loss at Chicago on Nov. 9 after he fell hard on the Soldier Field turn at the end of a run, has been in concussion protocol since.<\/p>\n<p>He remains in the protocol with steps still to clear before doctors pronounce him ready to play in Sunday\u2019s game.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.37449664;display:block\" fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"37710450\" width=\"811\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/new-york-giants-quarterback-jaxson-115733771.jpg\" alt=\"New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart (6) practices.\" class=\"wp-image-37710450\"  \/>Jaxson Dart (6) at Giants practice on Nov. 19, 2025. Charles Wenzelberg \/ New York Post<\/p>\n<p>But on Wednesday, he was a full participant, though in a non-contact capacity.<\/p>\n<p>During the practice period open to the media, Dart was on the field with his teammates doing running and stretching drills and looked fine.<\/p>\n<p>Giants interim head coach Mike Kafka said as soon as doctors clear Dart to play, he\u2019ll resume his starting role. Charles Wenzelberg \/ New York Post<\/p>\n<p>Kafka said he\u2019s not concerned about <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/11\/17\/sports\/jaxson-darts-concussion-absence-needs-to-be-a-lesson-for-qb-and-the-giants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dart missing out on last week being a setback<\/a>, saying, \u201cHe\u2019s a pretty smart player. He was dialed into our game plan last week. He\u2019s been preparing like this even early in the season when he wasn\u2019t the starter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, I wouldn\u2019t expect anything different.
