That\u2019s essentially what Hugging Face is about.<\/p>\n<p>So yes, it\u2019s natural that Delangue would say that. However, he\u2019s not alone. In one example, research firm Gartner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gartner.com\/en\/newsroom\/press-releases\/2025-04-09-gartner-predicts-by-2027-organizations-will-use-small-task-specific-ai-models-three-times-more-than-general-purpose-large-language-models\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">predicted<\/a> in April that \u201cthe variety of tasks in business workflows and the need for greater accuracy are driving the shift towards specialized models fine-tuned on specific functions or domain data.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Regardless of which way LLM-based applications go, investment in other applications of AI is only just getting started. Earlier this week, it was revealed that former Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos will be co-CEO of a <a href=\"https:\/\/arstechnica.com\/gadgets\/2025\/11\/with-a-new-company-jeff-bezos-will-become-a-ceo-again\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">new AI startup<\/a> focused on applications of machine learning in engineering and manufacturing\u2014and that startup has launched with over $6 billion in funding.<\/p>\n<p>That, too, could be a bubble.
