{"id":391502,"date":"2025-11-20T05:07:13","date_gmt":"2025-11-20T05:07:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/391502\/"},"modified":"2025-11-20T05:07:13","modified_gmt":"2025-11-20T05:07:13","slug":"family-seeks-answers-after-finding-woman-in-creek-more-than-24-hours-after-fatal-south-side-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/391502\/","title":{"rendered":"Family seeks answers after finding woman in creek more than 24 hours after fatal South Side crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\"><strong>SAN ANTONIO<\/strong> \u2013 The family of Jolie Pesina, 21, is mourning her while searching for answers on how she died.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">According to San Antonio police, Pesina was driving on Southwest Loop 410 on Monday, Nov. 17, when she lost control of her car and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ksat.com\/news\/local\/2025\/11\/19\/authorities-working-to-recover-body-after-apparent-rollover-on-south-side-safd-says\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.ksat.com\/news\/local\/2025\/11\/19\/authorities-working-to-recover-body-after-apparent-rollover-on-south-side-safd-says\/\">crashed into Leon Creek<\/a>, underneath the highway. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">However, first responders didn\u2019t find her until Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Pesina\u2019s older sister, Gloria Ramos, told KSAT that the San Antonio Fire Department told her Pesina\u2019s phone sent an alert to authorities that she was in a car crash. When authorities arrived on scene, Ramos said they told her they didn\u2019t initially find anything.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">\u201cWe did try to make a police report (Tuesday), but they couldn\u2019t do anything since she\u2019s an adult,\u201d Ramos said. \u201cThey said we had to wait at least 24 to 48 hours. So we came looking on our own based off her last known location that we had, and it was showing that she was here basically in the ditch. So we came to look ourselves.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">When Ramos and the rest of their family went to the area of Loop 410 over Leon Creek, they noticed Pesina\u2019s car flipped into the ditch. Family members immediately called for help.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">\u201cWas she in pain?\u201d Monique Esparza questioned. \u201cDid it happen instantly? She was down there for so long that we didn\u2019t even see.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">This family has so many questions as they navigate life without Pesina.
