Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>The former MVP practiced last Thursday after missing Wednesday\u2019s practice so whether he practices this Thursday will be an indicator if he is ready to play against the Jets on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Jets coach Aaron Glenn spoke about Jackson\u2019s value to the Ravens on Wendesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen it comes to this game, looking at Baltimore, they\u2019re an organization that a number of people look at and try to emulate because of the way they operate,\u201d Glenn said. \u201cWhen it comes to their players, obviously on offense, Lamar and Derrick [Henry] are two guys you\u2019ve got to get ready to watch out for, which opens up a lot of opportunities for Zay [Flowers] in the passing game.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Jackson was not the only big name to miss practice for Baltimore. Safety Kyle Hamilton (shoulder, groin), linebacker Roquan Smith (hamstring) and left tackle Ronnie Stanley (illness) all missed practice, too.<\/p>\n<p>While the Jets are moving to Tyrod Taylor at quarterback this week, there are some fans that would like to see the team play rookie Brady Cook instead. And who knows, we\u2019ll see what happens as the season progresses. I\u2019m not promising anything, but he knows exactly what his role is when it comes to this team, but I\u2019ll say right now Tyrod is our starter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>DE Will McDonald IV (quad) and DT Harrison Phillips (foot) did not practice Wednesday but Glenn said he expects them to play Sunday. \u2026 CB Azareye\u2019h Thomas practiced Wednesday and Glenn said he is expected to be cleared from the concussion protocol.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Lamar Jackson did not practice on Wednesday and was listed with an ankle injury.
