For many, the colors could only mean one thing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very much &#8216;Wicked&#8217; fans,\u201d said Liz Latham of Camp Verde.<\/p>\n<p>The sequel to last year\u2019s &#8216;Wicked&#8217; brought out fans of all ages eager to return to Oz.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love the movie altogether, so I&#8217;m excited for the second one,\u201d said Christine Baker of Mesa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe&#8217;re so excited to see the movie. I can&#8217;t wait to cry,\u201d said Afi Maita, a stylist from Scottsdale.<\/p>\n<p>Eight-year-old Sofia was among the younger fans in attendance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;m really excited,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWho&#8217;s your favorite? Glinda or Elphaba?\u201d 12News reporter Bianca Buono asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBoth,\u201d Sofia replied.<\/p>\n<p>Many attendees showed up in their &#8220;Wicked&#8221; or &#8220;Wizard of Oz&#8221;\u2013inspired best.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;m a local stylist, and I literally put this together from my different favorite brands,\u201d Maita said, describing her all-green getup.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is an Amazon win from head to ankle-ish,\u201d said Lily Monroe of Scottsdale of her pink gown.<\/p>\n<p>The evening blended fashion with philanthropy. Proceeds from the $100 tickets benefit Phoenix Children\u2019s behavioral health program, which supports vulnerable youth in need of help.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is where the community steps up,&#8221; said Tim Harrison, the vice president of corporate partnerships and special events for Phoenix Children\u2019s Foundation. &#8220;This is Arizona Children&#8217;s Hospital.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Harrison said the need for behavioral health care among young people is growing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt&#8217;s so important. I mean, I think we&#8217;ve all seen as social media has changed the way things happen in children&#8217;s lives as well as adult lives, but it&#8217;s impacting kids. The kids are impacted,\u201d he said. \u201cWe&#8217;re seeing kids as young as eight turn up with suicide ideation, and that just is something that cannot happen. We can&#8217;t have that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Harkins partnered with Universal Studios to make the preview possible.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen it is a cause as important as a behavioral health program at Phoenix Children&#8217;s, we&#8217;ll do whatever it takes to make it come true.
