Manchester United have been urged to give minutes to Chido Obi<\/a> while Benjamin Sesko<\/a> is ruled out through injury. Sesko is currently recovering from a knee injury that he suffered before the international break.<\/p>\n The Slovenia international picked up the injury during United’s<\/a> 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month. Reports this week have claimed that Sesko is expected to be on the sidelines for up to a month.<\/p>\n Sesko has scored two goals for United since his \u00a374million move from RB Leipzig during the summer transfer window. Ruben Amorim<\/a> will now be tasked with managing the United squad for the next few weeks with Sesko on the sidelines, which will include Premier League<\/a> matches against Everton, Crystal Palace and West Ham.<\/p>\n It remains to be seen what Amorim will have planned to cope with Sesko’s absence, and former United striker Dwight Yorke believes that Obi should be given an opportunity. Yorke, who scored 66 goals during his time at Old Trafford<\/a>, has argued why Amorim should turn to United’s academy starlets during Sesko’s time on the sidelines.<\/p>\n \u201cI think Amorim has got to invest in the young players and bring some fresh talent through to give a little bit of a chance if Sesko is out injured,\u201d Yorke said in an interview with Snabbare.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Rasmus Hojlund value increases despite Man United transfer nightmare as reality clear<\/a>READ MORE: Marcus Rashford transfer decision ‘proven’ after Man United dressing room dilemma<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cIf you’re going to bring in a makeshift option as cover, we\u2019ve seen United do that in the past and it hasn’t worked. It’s too big of a club for bringing in a player that\u2019s not the right fit to improve the team. I\u2019d understand if they were firing on all cylinders to get someone else in there but when things are not going so great, it\u2019s a difficult fit.<\/p>\n \u201cIf United are going to go and sign someone else, I think they have to go out there like Liverpool<\/a> and bring in someone who would have a really big presence at the football club. Otherwise, the under-23s are there for a reason.\u201d<\/p>\n Yorke went on to argue why Obi deserves an opportunity for the United first team over the next few weeks.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat about Chido Obi? I know the first-team squads are big but you\u2019ve got to get these young players around the team for when situations like this happen,” said Yorke.<\/p>\n “When I was at United, the youngsters could train with us and then we\u2019d let them play to get game time and train with us more. It\u2019s so that when they come, they are already up to speed. That\u2019s something I would look at.<\/p>\n \u201cI would like to see Obi put in if Sesko is out. If you’re good enough to be at United, you’ve got to give them a chance.<\/p>\n “History has shown that this is a club where young players get that chance to stand in and step up and we\u2019ve seen that time and time again.<\/p>\n \u201cIf they’re going down the road of just trying to bring in somebody who’s just okay, United will find themselves going back down the other way again, and I wouldn’t go down that road.
