President Donald Trump lost it at late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel in a Truth Social post early Thursday, accusing the ABC host of being a \u201cbum\u201d with \u201cvery poor television ratings.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy does ABC Fake News keep Jimmy Kimmel, a man with NO TALENT and VERY POOR TELEVISION RATINGS, on the air?\u201d Trump asked in the post. \u201dWhy do the TV Syndicates put up with it? Also, totally biased coverage. Get the bum off the air!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

In response to Kimmel\u2019s monologue, his show was briefly suspended and FCC Chairman Brendan Carr threatened to revoke ABC\u2019s broadcasting license<\/a> if Kimmel were not held accountable. <\/p>\n

The move sparked significant backlash across the country, with multiple celebrities and media personalities, including Disney<\/a> stars<\/a> and all of Kimmel\u2019s fellow<\/a> late<\/a>–night<\/a> hosts<\/a>, criticizing the suspension.<\/p>\n

As Carr was making threats, Trump was posting up a storm, congratulating ABC<\/a> for cancelling the \u201cratings challenged\u201d Jimmy Kimmel Live! and urging NBC to do the same to its own late night hosts, Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers.<\/p>\n

Even prior to Kirk\u2019s death, Trump had his sights set on Kimmel, posting in July<\/a>, \u201cThe word is, and it\u2019s a strong word at that, Jimmy Kimmel is NEXT to go in the untalented Late Night Sweepstakes and, shortly thereafter, Fallon will be gone.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201dIt\u2019s really good to see them go, and I hope I played a major part in it!\u201d<\/p>\n

Undeterred by threats of suspension, Kimmel has continued to target Trump in his monologues, including by<\/a> highlighting Trump being recorded yelling at a female reporter, \u201cQuiet, piggy!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTrump is not a happy little meal right now,\u201c Kimmel said on Tuesday. \u201dEvery time he gets asked about Jeffrey Epstein, he loses his mind.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe said \u2018Quiet, piggy\u2019 to a reporter and it barely made the news. If a man spoke like that to a female co-worker in a workplace harassment training video, you\u2019d go, \u2018Ah, that\u2019s over the top. Nobody would do that.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

In his Wednesday monologue<\/a>, which aired just prior to Trump\u2019s post being made, Kimmel discussed Elon Musk\u2019s return to the White House<\/a> after his departure from DOGE in May.<\/p>\n

\u201cTheir relationship is like a Cybertruck. It\u2019s cold one minute, on fire<\/a> the next,\u201d Kimmel said of Trump and Musk.<\/p>\n
