SAN ANTONIO – A SWAT team stormed a Northwest Side motel late Wednesday night, taking a suspect into custody in connection with an early morning kidnapping, according to police.<\/p>\n

The raid happened just before 11 p.m. at the Motel 6 off Wurzbach Road near Interstate 10. <\/p>\n

Snipers were spotted on the roof of a nearby Wendy\u2019s, and flash bangs went off as team members kicked in the door to one of the rooms.<\/p>\n

A CLEAR Alert was issued for Destiny Ferdin after an early morning kidnapping report. She was rescued late Wednesday night during a SWAT raid at a Northwest Side motel. (PHOTOS: San Antonio Police Department)<\/p>\n

One person was detained at the scene. The victim, identified as Destiny Ferdin, was taken to the hospital in stable condition.<\/p>\n

Authorities issued a CLEAR Alert for Ferdin after she was reported kidnapped around 5:30 a.m. from a home on Labor Street near East C\u00e9sar E. Ch\u00e1vez Boulevard. According to investigators, a 35-year-old man allegedly forced her into a white 2000 Dodge Ram and drove off. <\/p>\n
