JACKSONVILLE, Fla.<\/strong> \u2013 Jacksonville\u2019s Glen Kernan golf club is transforming private golf culture in Northeast Florida with a renewed focus on exclusivity, luxury, and community. Known as the jewel of Hampton Golf\u2019s portfolio, the club has undergone a major renovation to offer a high-end, intimate golf experience.<\/p>\n

Travis Norman, chief operating officer of Hampton Golf, explained the vision behind Glen Kernan. \u201cThis is a special property, and we want to really carry on the legacy of what the Hodges family… visioned, which was this high-end luxury experience in private golf club management,\u201d Norman said.<\/p>\n

John Ossi, a founding member and former PGA Tour insider, praised the club\u2019s revitalization. \u201cThe gem, the special feel was missing. That\u2019s what Travis and the whole team with Hampton Golf and Corner Lot Development brought \u2014 a club that wasn\u2019t lively into a club that\u2019s special now,\u201d Ossi said.<\/p>\n

Membership is capped at 250 full-golf members, creating a rare level of access. Norman noted, \u201cWhen you have time away from taking the kids to volleyball or soccer… here at Glen Kernan, you can get that in.\u201d The invite-only membership fosters a community of like-minded individuals, with a relaxed, no-tee-time golf experience.<\/p>\n

The club attracts a notable roster of members including sports stars like Trevor Lawrence, Tim Tebow, and Jim Furyk, adding to its unique culture. Ossi said, \u201cIt brings the ethos to the course… Members enjoy being here and the private, ultra-exclusive feeling.\u201d<\/p>\n

Designed by Jim Furyk, the course blends challenge and playability for all skill levels. Norman shared Furyk\u2019s passion for detail, aiming to create memorable experiences for every golfer.<\/p>\n

Glen Kernan also offers extensive amenities beyond golf, including wellness facilities, tennis and pickleball courts, an Olympic-sized pool, and unique stay-and-play cottages. Norman described the cottages as \u201chospitality suites\u201d where members and guests receive personalized service tailored to their preferences.<\/p>\n

The club\u2019s reopening earlier this year coincides with a booming golf culture in Northeast Florida. Norman said, \u201cJacksonville is absolutely… It\u2019s got the foundation of the tour and everything that\u2019s happening there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Looking ahead, Ossi envisions Glen Kernan as \u201cone of the finest golf communities in the United States,\u201d while Norman hopes members will feel \u201cextremely proud of their club\u201d and cherish the friendships and memories made there.<\/p>\n
