Glenn Close tried her best to compliment her All\u2019s Fair co-star Kim Kardashian in a new interview. <\/p>\n

Close, 78, told Variety<\/a> on Wednesday that Kardashian, 45, \u201chad no pretensions that she was a great actress\u201d while filming the critically panned series<\/a>, which reunites Kardashian with co-creator Ryan Murphy, with whom she previously worked on American Horror Story: Delicate. That said, Close added, \u201cShe was smart enough to have people around her who she could learn from.\u201d Close stars alongside Kardashian, Sarah Paulson, Naomi Watts, Teyana Taylor, and Niecy Nash-Betts in the Hulu series.<\/p>\n

The eight-time Oscar nominee said she was most surprised by Kardashian\u2019s \u201cseriousness of intent.\u201d She \u201calways knew her lines,\u201d she said. \u201cShe never was late. She always was prepared.\u201d <\/p>\n

Close explained, \u201cIf she was a big ego or what I call a \u2018life-is-too-short person,\u2019 I would have been unhappy, but she\u2019s not.\u201d Kardashian seems to have made positive impressions on all of the show\u2019s main cast, as each has complimented <\/a>the reality TV star as \u201ckind\u201d and \u201chard-working\u201d after filming together.<\/p>\n

When the negative reviews rolled in for their show, Close posted a clapback at critics<\/a>\u2014who were particularly harsh with Kardashian\u2014suggesting they back off, lest she make them into a Fatal Attraction-esque bunny stew.<\/p>\n

Close told Daily Mail<\/a> in April that she declined to give Kardashian acting advice while working on the show, which, though it achieved significant success for Hulu as one of the streamer\u2019s most-watched scripted debuts in years<\/a>, also resulted in brutal critiques of Kardashian\u2019s acting skills and a zero percent Rotten Tomatoes score<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\u201cI would not presume to give Kim Kardashian advice,\u201d Close said then. \u201cI think she\u2019s a very, very brilliant woman. I think she could choose to do anything she wants. Frankly, if she wants to be an actress, that\u2019s one road.\u201d<\/p>\n

Close added, \u201cShe\u2019s a great executive. She\u2019s a great businesswoman. She\u2019s a very, very involved mother. She\u2019s getting her law degree. So, I think she has huge potential and that she\u2019s fulfilled already as a woman. And frankly, I will be fascinated to see what she chooses to do.\u201d<\/p>\n
