So this will hurt.

The 41-year-old has won 31 times in 18 years as a professional, including 22 PGA Tour titles, six World Golf Championships, three on LIV Golf, a Masters, and a US Open.

But when he carded a round of 74 in Riyadh on Thursday to miss the cut at the PIF Saudi International – a tournament he won on two occasions when it was a DP World Tour event and held at Royal Greens – it brought an end to Johnson’s 2025 and sealed his first winless season since 2014.

His best result in 2025 was the LIV season finale in Indianapolis – where a 3rd-place finish saw him climb up to 14th in the overall standings – but it was also a year that saw him finish dead last at the stops in Hong Kong and the UK.

Talking about his season after the round, Johnson told Flushing It that it was an “up-and-down” year, before honing in on the reasons.

Notably, his high-profile breakup with TaylorMade.

Johnson and TaylorMade ended their professional relationship in February. The American had been using the brand’s gear since he turned pro in 2007, but put a Titleist GT2 in the bag after the split.

“I’ve really struggled with the driver – which is generally the best part of my game,” he continued. “So obviously that puts a lot of pressure on the other parts of your game.

“The weeks I drive it well, I play well [and] I have a chance to win. But, as a whole, I’ve just struggled with the driver, and I’m just finding something that I get comfortable with.

“I have days where I drive it really well, but I’m having trouble finding a driver that matches up with the rest of the game, [so] I’m hitting irons really, really well and not driving it that great, or I’m hitting the driver good and I’m not hitting irons as good. I’m just trying to get that perfect match, which is what everybody wants. That’s when I play my best.”

And that is what’s giving him hope for next year.

“I feel like the game’s been in good form,” Johnson said. “I feel good about it going into 2026.”

The curtain has come down on Dustin Johnson’s forgettable 2025 season – and it looks like he took…

[47
1430,62,67,132,68
0":"post-392971","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-golf","8":"tag-golf","9":"tag-sports","10":"tag-united-states","11":"tag-unitedstates","12":"tag-us
["GET
