About <\/b>9,500 Oncor customers across North Texas were left without power Thursday as storms continued into the evening hours<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to the Oncor outage map<\/a>, power still had not been restored for about 9,547 Oncor customers in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex as of 6:50 p.m. Thursday.<\/p>\n

Restoration times<\/a> range from Thursday night to early Friday morning.<\/p>\n

Oncor is currently monitoring the storm system causing the outages as it works to restore power, according to a statement on its site.<\/p>\n

North Texas received up to three inches of rain during the early morning storm Thursday. A flash flood warning was briefly issued until 6:45 a.m. in western Collin, northern Dallas, southeastern Denton and Tarrant counties.<\/p>\n

Heavy rain began falling again in Dallas-Fort Worth about 4:45 p.m., according to the National Weather Service\u2019s Fort Worth office.<\/p>\n
