They\u2019d rescued many sick and injured pets in the past, but this 8-pound pug shocked them all when she arrived with no fur and inflamed, red skin.<\/p>\n<p data-element-index=\"1\">\u201cShe\u2019s only a year old, and in unimaginable pain,\u201d TAF wrote on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/p\/17R94NxaWR\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a>. \u201cHer tiny, malnourished 8 lb body is cracked, bleeding, and raw.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/1763699174_744_scale;webp=auto;jpeg_quality=60.jpg\"  width=\"792\" height=\"792\" style=\"display:block;height:auto;aspect-ratio:792 \/ 792\" loading=\"lazy\"\/>Facebook\/The Animal Foundation<\/p>\n<p data-element-index=\"0\">The little puppy, whom TAF named Talulah, was covered in mange, leaving her body hairless and bright pink with pain. The poor girl was desperately uncomfortable.<\/p>\n<p data-element-index=\"1\">\u201cShe\u2019s itchy, swollen, and shivering from the pain,\u201d TAF wrote. \u201cShe can barely stand. She can\u2019t play. She\u2019s a shell of a dog, but she wants to feel better.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-element-index=\"2\">You can see more pictures of Talulah when she first arrived at TAF here:<\/p>\n<p data-element-index=\"0\">Talulah\u2019s mange was one of the most severe cases the shelter staff had ever seen. But thankfully, they knew just how to help the pup and soon sent her to a medical foster home with an extensive treatment plan.<\/p>\n<p data-element-index=\"1\">\u201cShe\u2019s getting medicated baths, mousse treatments to soothe her skin, antibiotics to fight the infection, and pain medication to give her some much-needed relief,\u201d TAF wrote. \u201cMange is caused by microscopic mites. It\u2019s treatable, but her recovery will take weeks \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-element-index=\"2\">See Talulah one week into her recovery journey here:<\/p>\n<p data-element-index=\"0\">After just one week of consistent care, Talulah\u2019s health started to improve, and her black hair began to grow back.<\/p>\n<p data-element-index=\"1\">\u201cHer skin is healing, her tail\u2019s wagging, and her sass is starting to show,\u201d TAF wrote on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/p\/19orcVUri8\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-element-index=\"0\">By the two-week mark, Talulah\u2019s cracked skin smoothed over, and she stopped showing signs of pain or discomfort.<\/p>\n<p data-element-index=\"1\">\u201cTalulah is wiggly, curious, and looking great!\u201d TAF wrote on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/p\/1BKBERprJU\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a>. \u201cNo longer red and itchy, Talulah can now begin to heal. She\u2019s still with her devoted foster family, getting baths, medication, and lots of kisses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-element-index=\"2\">See Talulah\u2019s progress here:<\/p>\n<p data-element-index=\"0\">After three weeks, Talulah was a completely different dog. She became more rambunctious and active. And as her hair continued to grow, so did the smile on her face after a successful play session with her foster siblings.<\/p>\n<p data-element-index=\"1\">Her rescuers were stunned by her progress.<\/p>\n<p data-element-index=\"2\">\u201cIt&#8217;s unbelievable,\u201d TAF wrote on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/p\/16mr96Zza6\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a>. \u201cAnd this is only the beginning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-element-index=\"0\">Talulah surpassed all of TAF\u2019s expectations. And in late September, almost two months after her rescue, Talulah received the best surprise of all: a forever family.<\/p>\n<p data-element-index=\"1\">\u201cNow known as Wednesday, this once tiny, hairless pup is doing incredible in her forever home,\u201d TAF wrote in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/p\/16yLKuatck\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a> update. \u201cToday, Wednesday looks like a completely different dog. She\u2019s cuddly, sassy, and now has two tortoise siblings, Herbie and Pie.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-element-index=\"2\">You can watch her transformation here:<\/p>\n<p data-element-index=\"0\">Talulah, now Wednesday, has completely transformed since she arrived at TAF, and her rescuers couldn\u2019t be happier for her. Once in \u201citchy agony,\u201d Wednesday is finally living the carefree life she\u2019s always dreamed of, and her new family couldn\u2019t love her more.<\/p>\n<p data-element-index=\"1\">\u201cI think our favorite part is how sassy she is.
