The weekend before Thanksgiving is pretty stacked with things to do.<\/p>\n

If you aren\u2019t tired from the Deep Ellum Block Party<\/a>, Zounds Sounds\u2019 20th anniversary celebration at Sons of Hermann Hall and Zounds Sounds B-Side, or the other concerts happening<\/a>, you\u2019ve got to go see Chris Lake.<\/p>\n

The British producer released an excellent 15-track collection, Chemistry, independently back in July via his label, Black Book Records. He has an ear for club-forward basslines and catchy vocals, preferring to use his creativity to craft music that feels good to him, with his signature flair.<\/p>\n

Lake has a milestone year with Chemistry debuting at the top of the Billboard charts, a North American tour, a collaboration with Sammy Virji and a Grammy nomination for his remix of The Chemical Brothers\u2019 classic \u201cGalvanize.\u201d There\u2019s plenty to celebrate as he heads to Dallas for two nights \u2013 Saturday, Nov. 22 and Sunday, Nov. 23 \u2013 at Silo Dallas.<\/p>\n

In press materials, Lake spoke about what keeps him going after 20 years in his career of making people dance and leaving an impression on the culture.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt gives me this increased love of the power of a single song and the effect that it can have on anyone\u2019s life,\u201d he says. \u201cI love the idea that I have this blessing to make a song and give one or more people that feeling. It\u2019s just amazing, and I feel like as the years go on, I get better and better at doing it.\u201d<\/p>\n
