PHOENIX, Ariz. \u2013 On September 30, 2025, a federal grand jury in Phoenix returned a 23-count superseding indictment against Ryan Adelbert Johnson, Alexandra Johnson, Charles Lyle Truax, Mike Duffy, III, and Sherry Duffy all of Dilkon, Arizona for crimes related to a shooting and tampering case that occurred in March, 2022, in Teesto on the Navajo Nation, resulting in the deaths of three victims and the injury of others.<\/p>\n
Charges against Ryan Adelbert Johnson, Alexandra Johnson, Charles Lyle Truax, and Mike Duffy, III include First Degree Murder, Kidnapping Resulting in Death, Felony Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Robbery, and Discharge of a Firearm During a Crime of Violence. Mike Duffy, III, Alexandra Johnson, Charles Lyle Truax, and Sherry Duffy were also charged with offenses relating to Tampering with an Official Proceeding and\/or False Statement to a Government Agency.<\/p>\n
Convictions for First Degree Murder and Kidnapping Resulting in Death carry mandatory life sentences.<\/p>\n
An indictment is simply a method by which a person is charged with criminal activity and raises no inference of guilt. An individual is presumed innocent until evidence is presented to a jury that establishes guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.<\/p>\n
The FBI Phoenix office in Flagstaff conducted the investigation in this case. The United States Attorney\u2019s Office, District of Arizona, Phoenix, is handling the prosecution.<\/p>\n
