{"id":396041,"date":"2025-11-22T03:22:22","date_gmt":"2025-11-22T03:22:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/396041\/"},"modified":"2025-11-22T03:22:22","modified_gmt":"2025-11-22T03:22:22","slug":"esencia-to-open-this-winter-at-st-anthony-hotel-in-downtown-san-antonio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/396041\/","title":{"rendered":"Esencia to open this winter at St. Anthony Hotel in downtown San Antonio"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\"><strong>SAN ANTONIO<\/strong> \u2013 Details have been revealed surrounding a new restaurant opening this winter at a hotel in the heart of San Antonio. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Led by James Beard-nominated chef Leo Davila, a news release said Esencia is opening at the luxurious St. Anthony Hotel in the 300 block of East Travis Street. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">The restaurant features 130 seats, a two-level dining room, elevated cuisine, cocktails, private dining experiences, plus more. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">\u201cEsencia is more than a name \u2013 it\u2019s a philosophy,\u201d Davila said. \u201cIn Spanish, Esencia means \u2018essence,\u2019 and our mission is to capture the true essence of San Antonio cuisine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Esencia\u2019s menu celebrates the fusion of Spanish, Mexican and Asian influences, inspired by Davila\u2019s Chinese and Mexican heritage. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Some of the restaurant\u2019s specialty dishes include Carne Asada Frites, Arroz con Pollo, Beef and Broccoli, and Duck &amp;
