Dakota Santiago \/FreedomNewsTV<\/p>\n<p>The 49-year-old driver and 36-year-old passenger inside the truck were taken to New York Downtown Hospital in stable condition, cops said.<\/p>\n<p>People who were on the bus left before <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/11\/21\/us-news\/on-duty-nypd-school-safety-agent-busted-for-groping-girl-16-during-photo-op-inside-school-da\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">police<\/a> arrived and the 60-year-old bus driver was uninjured, cops said.\u00a0The police officer was taken to a local hospital in stable condition, cops said.<\/p>\n<p>The police cruiser\u2019s siren was blaring, a witness said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were opening up our coffee shop this morning and out of nowhere I heard a police siren wailing really fast and then simultaneously a bus was coming, crossing the street and they immediately full-force collided,\u201d said Nick Varsames, who works at Blue Bottle Coffee in the hotel.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The bus careened into a delivery truck, leaving the two men inside the truck with minor injuries, cops said. Dakota Santiago \/FreedomNewsTV<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe bus came right at the banister by the window and crashed and shook the building,\u201d he said. \u201cIt was just very sudden.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The truck that was struck was delivering food to the coffee shop, he said.<\/p>\n<p>The bus also struck the historic Walker Hotel Tribeca and shook the building, a witness who works inside said. Dakota Santiago \/FreedomNewsTV<\/p>\n<p>The police officer was on his way to pick up another officer at Manhattan Central Booking at 100 Center St., cops said.<\/p>\n<p>The collision broke off a slab of the historic building\u2019s facade, photos from the scene show. The structure, built in 1899, was formerly a button and ribbon factory. <\/p>\n<p>The impact also cracked off a slab of the hotel\u2019s facade, photos show.
