HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — An investigation is underway after two men, believed to be neighbors, were found shot to death in the yard of a home in northwest Houston, police say.<\/p>\n
The Houston Police Department said they were notified of a shooting in the 3800 block of Lemon Tree Lane on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n
When officers arrived, they say they found two men with gunshot wounds in the yard of a home.<\/p>\n
Detective Kyle Heaverlo said he believes the men were neighbors and that one had recently moved into the community.<\/p>\n
Investigators at the scene said they believe the men were possibly involved in a dispute, but could not confirm what triggered the shooting.<\/p>\n
“The suspect appears to be the son of one of the two that passed,” Heaverlo said. “We also have a witness, who potentially lived at one of the two residences, who could be the wife of one of the two men.”<\/p>\n
The suspect and witness were taken to HPD Headquarters for questioning, Heaverlo said.<\/p>\n
Detectives say they are investigating the relationships between those involved as they piece together what led to the deadly shooting.<\/p>\n
