If needed, the team has backup opportunities during the same time period Monday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe timing is driven by orbital mechanics and ensures the vehicles reach the precise point in space required to execute mission objectives,\u201d Vandenberg officials said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where:<\/strong> Space Launch Complex-4 on South Base.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Landing:<\/strong> The first-stage booster, making its inaugural flight, will land on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship positioned in the Pacific Ocean.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBased on Vandenberg SFB\u2019s updated audibility modeling, residents of Carpinteria, Ojai, Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Oxnard may hear a sonic boom approximately 8-10 minutes after launch, with the greatest likelihood of audibility in the Ojai and Santa Barbara areas,\u201d Vandenberg officials said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAreas local to Vandenberg Space Force Base will hear the initial low rumble of take-off.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why: <\/strong>Deliver 28 satellites into orbit for the Starlink constellation.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Watch: <\/strong>A live webcast of the mission is scheduled to begin about five minutes before liftoff at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spacex.com\/launches\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">spacex.com\/launches<\/a> and on <a href=\"https:\/\/links-2.govdelivery.com\/CL0\/https:%2F%2Ftwitter.com%2FSpaceX%3Futm_medium=email%26utm_source=govdelivery\/1\/0101019494e21328-51551a32-704e-4bc9-95e2-a2608e8704e9-000000\/Mt-yXKBtzIbAB9BR_A2SQf83hEfxdyPPb9_i2J9_C4c=389\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">X @SpaceX<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>To watch the liftoff in person, the Lompoc Valley has multiple locations offering views of the launch pad. Those include the peak of Harris Grade Road, west of Lompoc\u2019s city limits and around Vandenberg Village, including near the intersection of Moonglow and Stardust roads.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Vandenberg launches close to sunset or sunrise can be especially picturesque.
