{"id":3995,"date":"2025-06-22T02:06:20","date_gmt":"2025-06-22T02:06:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/3995\/"},"modified":"2025-06-22T02:06:20","modified_gmt":"2025-06-22T02:06:20","slug":"man-26-fatally-shot-in-neck-during-bronx-clash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/3995\/","title":{"rendered":"Man, 26, fatally shot in neck during Bronx clash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 26-year-old man was killed Saturday after he was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/2025\/06\/03\/nyc-murders-shootings-drop-lowest-levels-decades\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fatally shot<\/a> in the neck during a bloody Bronx clash, police said.<\/p>\n<p>The victim, Kasiem Johnson, was inside the lobby of the apartment building where he lived on E. 174th St.,<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>near West Farms Road in Crotona Park East, around 9:40 a.m. when he became embroiled in a fight, police said.<\/p>\n<p>During the scrap, his opponent pulled a gun and opened fire, striking him in the neck, cops said.<\/p>\n<p>Police responding to a report of an assault in progress found the victim in the lobby, bleeding from the neck.<\/p>\n<p>EMS rushed Johnson to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rwjbh.org\/cooperman-barnabas-medical-center\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">St. Barnabas Hospital<\/a>, where he died.<\/p>\n<p>The gunman, who was wearing all black, ran out of the building.
