The passenger in his car was also taken to U of C and remains stable.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">All lanes of southbound DLSD are closed  in the area, as police investigate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Both vehicles sustained heavy damage. One appeared to be charred.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Southbound No. 6 CTA Jackson Park Express and J14 Jeffery Jump buses are temporarily rerouted via DuSable Lake Shore Drive, 39th Street, Cottage Grove Avenue, 47th Street and DuSable Lake Shore Drive, then resume their normal route, due to the crash, CTA said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Northbound buses are not affected.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC eTIW sUzSN \">CTA asked riders to allow extra travel time.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2025 WLS-TV.
