{"id":400075,"date":"2025-11-23T23:06:11","date_gmt":"2025-11-23T23:06:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/400075\/"},"modified":"2025-11-23T23:06:11","modified_gmt":"2025-11-23T23:06:11","slug":"jeeno-thitikul-wins-lpga-tour-finale-sets-scoring-average-mark","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/400075\/","title":{"rendered":"Jeeno Thitikul wins LPGA Tour finale, sets scoring average mark"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nov 23, 2025, 04:20 PM ET<\/p>\n<p>NAPLES, Fla. &#8212; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/golf\/player\/_\/id\/10982\/jeeno-thitikul\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jeeno Thitikul<\/a> of Thailand capped off her best year with the biggest cash prize in women&#8217;s golf, holding off an early challenge from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/golf\/player\/_\/id\/10981\/pajaree-anannarukarn\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pajaree Anannarukarn<\/a> and closing with a 4-under 68 to win the CME Group Tour Championship on Sunday for another $4 million payoff.<\/p>\n<p>Thitikul won for the third time this year on the LPGA Tour, and one last birdie on the final hole at Tiburon Golf Club gave her the lowest scoring average in tour history.<\/p>\n<p>This was never really in doubt when Thitikul started with a six-shot lead over <a data-player-guid=\"effcc2d6-ed04-3228-d5c4-1cadf4da14e7\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/golf\/player\/_\/id\/9012\/nelly-korda\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nelly Korda<\/a>, the American she replaced at No. 1 in the women&#8217;s world ranking this year.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\" lazyload lazyload\" data-image-container=\".inline-photo\" height=\"320\" width=\"570\"\/>Jeeno Thitikul birdied the final hole to set the record for the lowest scoring average in LPGA Tour history. Her win in the CME Group Tour Championship was her third of the year and carried a $4 million payday.\u00a0Julio Aguilar\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Anannarukarn made it a game, however, with five birdies in seven holes to pull within two shots going to the back nine. Thitikul birdied the 10th and 13th holes, while her Thai friend dropped a shot on the par-3 12th to return the lead to five shots.<\/p>\n<p>From there, it was getting to the finish line and getting soaked with bubbly on the 18th green.
