{"id":400387,"date":"2025-11-24T02:38:17","date_gmt":"2025-11-24T02:38:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/400387\/"},"modified":"2025-11-24T02:38:17","modified_gmt":"2025-11-24T02:38:17","slug":"chinas-wang-yi-says-japans-takaichi-crossed-a-red-line-with-taiwan-remarks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/400387\/","title":{"rendered":"China&#8217;s Wang Yi says Japan&#8217;s Takaichi &#8216;crossed a red line&#8217; with Taiwan remarks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TAIPEI, Taiwan (AP) \u2014 Japan \u201ccrossed a red line\u201d with comments by its new leader suggesting a potential military intervention over Taiwan, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Remarks earlier this month by <a class=\"Link AnClick-LinkEnhancement\" data-gtm-enhancement-style=\"LinkEnhancementA\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/japan-china-taiwan-emergency-takaichi-0cefc2b4e4f1cda16a4c8bfef033be2d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi<\/a> that a Chinese naval blockade or other action against Taiwan could be grounds for a Japanese military response were \u201cshocking,\u201d Wang said in a statement posted on the Chinese Foreign Ministry\u2019s website.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is shocking that Japan\u2019s current leaders have publicly sent the wrong signal of attempting military intervention in the Taiwan issue, said things they shouldn\u2019t have said, and crossed a red line that should not have been touched,\u201d Wang said.<\/p>\n<p>The most senior Chinese official to address the tensions so far, Wang added that China must \u201cresolutely respond\u201d to Japan\u2019s actions and that all countries have the responsibility to \u201cprevent the resurgence of Japanese militarism.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Takaichi\u2019s remarks have led to <a class=\"Link AnClick-LinkEnhancement\" data-gtm-enhancement-style=\"LinkEnhancementA\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/china-japan-takaichi-taiwan-ed8b812ab6f3bcc9ada2f49d9df1a479\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rising tensions<\/a> between the two countries over the past few weeks. Beijing on Friday sent a letter to U.N.
