WASHINGTON \u2014 President Trump signed his\u00a0\u201cOne Big Beautiful Bill Act\u201d\u00a0<\/a>into law at a Fourth of July party on the White House lawn Friday \u2014 \u00a0moments after fighter jets and B-2 bombers soared overhead in celebration of the recent bombing of Iran\u2019s nuclear sites.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter that spectacular display of American power, let me just say God bless the United States military and God bless the USA,\u201d Trump said from the Truman Balcony.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs we enter our 249th year, America\u2019s winning, winning, winning like never before \u2026 The Golden Age of America is upon us.\u201d<\/p>\n

President Donald Trump signed the \u2018Big, Beautiful Bill\u2019 act into law from the White House as apart of the sweeping Fourth of July celebrations.<\/p>\n

The signing also featured fighter jets and B-2 bombers. REUTERS<\/p>\n

Trump asked the Missouri-based flight crews who participated in the Iran strikes to raise their hands \u2014 saying \u201cthey don\u2019t want to be in disguise\u201d after forcing Tehran into a\u00a0hasty cease-fire with Israel\u00a0<\/a>\u2014 before inking his landmark bill.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn a few moments, we\u2019re going to make official the greatest victory yet when I sign the \u2018One Big, Beautiful Bill\u2019,\u201d the 79-year-old president said to an audience of lawmakers and military families.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s really promises made, promises kept \u2014 and we\u2019ve kept them. This is a triumph of democracy on the birthday of democracy, and I have to say that the people are happy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump attacked his predecessor Joe Biden and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) before\u00a0enacting\u00a0tax cuts on tips, overtime and Social Security benefits, plus new deductions for domestic car loan interest and higher state and local tax (SALT) deductions.<\/p>\n

Biden \u2014 who last year\u00a0began\u00a0his Independence Day remarks by proclaiming \u201cho, ho, ho!\u201d<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 presided over \u201cfour horrible years of embarrassment\u201d for the country, Trump said, slamming the Democrat\u2019s management of illegal immigration and the 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan.<\/p>\n

The president then mocked Jeffries, who spoke against the bill for nearly nine hours<\/a> on the House floor Thursday before its passage in a 218-214 vote.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe had a towel. He\u2019s wiping his face. That\u2019s not too elegant,\u201d Trump ridiculed, adding that Democrats opposed to the bill had \u201cdeveloped a standard line \u2014 and we can\u2019t let them get away with it \u2014 \u2018Oh, it\u2019s dangerous. Oh, everybody\u2019s going to die.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s all a con job\u2026 just like the con job of \u2018Russia, Russia, Russia\u2019 and all of the other things they did \u2014 the 51 intelligence agents said the [Hunter Biden]\u00a0laptop from hell came from Russia,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Trump told Republicans to \u201cjust say what it is, because it\u2019s the most popular bill ever signed in the history of our country\u201d \u2014 noting enhanced child tax credits and insisting that Americans \u201cwon\u2019t even notice\u201d cuts to Medicaid and SNAP highlighted by Democrats because \u201cit\u2019s just waste, fraud and abuse.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dozens of protesters held a \u201cdie in\u201d outside Trump Tower in New York City to oppose those cuts while the president signed the bill, holding up cardboard tombstones as they laid down blocking Fifth Avenue.<\/p>\n

\u201cTrump\u2019s bill will kill!\u201d they also chanted. \u201cWe need Medicaid. Not another ICE raid!\u201d<\/p>\n

The bill also includes an additional $100 billion in funding for immigration enforcement,\u00a0$25 billion for Trump\u2019s \u201cGolden Dome\u201d<\/a>\u00a0missile defense program and $12.5 billion to modernize the nation\u2019s air traffic control system.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have the greatest country in the world and we\u2019re back \u2014 we\u2019re back like nobody thought possible this quickly,\u201d the president said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can say very proudly, and I don\u2019t have to quote the polls, that our country is more proud right now than it\u2019s been in many, many years,\u201d Trump added. \u201cWe have pride. We have dignity. We have something that has happened miraculously, so fast.\u201d<\/p>\n

The presidential victory lap included boasts that major stock market indices reached record\u00a0highs this week, while\u00a0illegal border crossings hit another record low<\/a>\u00a0in June as jobs growth continued to be stronger than expected.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe stock market\u2019s at an all-time high. Jobs are at an all-time high. Everything\u2019s at an all-time high, and we\u2019re going to keep it that way,\u201d he said. \u201cWe have the greatest country in the world, and we\u2019re back.\u201d<\/p>\n
