{"id":40058,"date":"2025-07-05T06:14:09","date_gmt":"2025-07-05T06:14:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/40058\/"},"modified":"2025-07-05T06:14:09","modified_gmt":"2025-07-05T06:14:09","slug":"metra-offers-extra-trains-for-nascar-chicago-street-race-shaw-local","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/40058\/","title":{"rendered":"Metra offers extra trains for NASCAR Chicago Street Race \u2013 Shaw Local"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shawlocal.com\/tags\/metra\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.shawlocal.com\/tags\/metra\">Metra<\/a> is adding more trains on the UP North and UP West lines Saturday and Sunday to accommodate those heading into the city for the third annual NASCAR <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shawlocal.com\/tags\/chicago\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.shawlocal.com\/tags\/chicago\">Chicago<\/a> Street Race.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">Metra had already announced extra trains for the NASCAR race on the Rock Island Line that travels between Chicago and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shawlocal.com\/tags\/joliet\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.shawlocal.com\/tags\/joliet\">Joliet<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">The three lines will each have an additional inbound train and an additional outbound train both days.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">The UP West line runs between Chicago and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shawlocal.com\/tags\/elburn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.shawlocal.com\/tags\/elburn\">Elburn<\/a>, while the UP North line ends at Kenosha, Wisconsin.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-xb1qmn-0 gBIiEi body-paragraph\">Regularly scheduled weekend service will be provided on the BNSF Line to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shawlocal.com\/tags\/aurora\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.shawlocal.com\/tags\/aurora\">Aurora<\/a>, the Milwaukee District North and West lines, the Union Pacific Northwest Line and the Metra Electric Line.
