Superintendent Moore said those allegedly involved had “no links” to the nearby Rouse Hill High School.<\/p>\n
She said officers were still looking for up to two other people allegedly involved in the incident.<\/p>\n

Superintendent Moore said a number of female witnesses who were nearby had tried to assist the victim.<\/p>\n
“It would have been a horrifically confronting situation for those people and I can only praise them for their efforts,” she said.<\/p>\n
“It was potentially a dangerous situation they were walking into, but they thought nothing of themselves to render aid.”<\/p>\n
In a statement NSW Premier Chris Minns said he was “deeply saddened” and extended his condolences to family and friends.<\/p>\n
“It is an unimaginable loss and the whole community will feel an impact,” he said.<\/p>\n
The Hills Shire Council Mayor Michelle Byrne called the loss of the young life “heartbreaking and senseless”.<\/p>\n
“And my thoughts, prayers and heartfelt condolences are with the family, friends, and all who are affected by this tragedy,” she said.<\/p>\n
“Our community is strong, compassionate and resilient and in moments like these we must look out for one another.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Federal MP Michelle Rowland, whose electorate of Greenway includes Rouse Hill, said she was “deeply saddened” to learn of the incident.<\/p>\n
“My thoughts and deepest condolences are with the young boy’s family during this extremely difficult time,” Ms Rowland said in a statement.<\/p>\n
“There is no place in our community for these acts of senseless violence, and I know this news will be particularly distressing for local families.”<\/p>\n
State MP for Kellyville Ray Williams said the boy\u2019s death was a \u201cdreadful tragedy\u201d.<\/p>\n
“Sadly, youth-related crime and especially crimes involving knives are becoming so much more prevalent.<\/p>\n
“Whilst I don’t want to in any way distract from the outpouring of grief that the community will be going through, and especially the family of this young teenager, we really as parliamentarians and leaders have to step up.”<\/p>\n
