A beefy chain restaurant called Fatburger opened in Dallas\u2019 Preston Hollow Village on Nov. 22, 2025. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s the first Fatburger in Dallas and the eighth in Texas. Fatburger\u2019s first Dallas-Fort Worth store<\/a> opened about five years ago. Restaurants in the area today are in Allen, Arlington and Sanger.<\/p>\n

The chain from California operates under the name FAT Brands Inc., and while it\u2019s anchored by namesake Fatburger, the parent company now owns nearly 20 restaurant concepts, including Marble Slab Creamery, Great American Cookies, Johnny Rockets and Twin Peaks. <\/p>\n

FAT Brands also owns a chicken wing restaurant called Buffalo\u2019s Express, which opened in tandem with Fatburger in Dallas.<\/p>\n

The two-fer restaurant is located near Walnut Hill Lane and Central Expressway, in the same shopping center as Trader Joe\u2019s grocery store and the celebrity-owned restaurant Chicken Guy!<\/a>, from Food Network TV chef Guy Fieri.<\/p>\n

Fatburger started three-quarters of a century ago in California. Then and now, the restaurant sold a big ol\u2019 burger, which its founder Lovie Yancey called a Fatburger. <\/p>\n

\u201cAfter 70 years, it\u2019s still good to be Fat,\u201d touts the company website.<\/p>\n

Burgers can be customized by the size of patty, with the option to add \u201cThe Works,\u201d with lettuce, tomato, onion, mayonnaise, mustard, pickles and relish. The restaurant also sells a \u201cskinnyburger\u201d without a bun, a chicken sandwich, milkshakes and more.<\/p>\n

At Buffalo\u2019s Express, the most popular options are chicken wings. Other menu items include a chili cheese hot dog and onion rings.<\/p>\n
