The Dallas Cowboys<\/a> kept their long-shot playoff hopes alive with Sunday\u2019s comeback victory against the Philadelphia Eagles<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Entering Thursday\u2019s game against the Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>, Dallas (5-5-1) has a 14% chance to make the playoffs as a wild card team, according to the NFL playoff simulator by The Athletic, which has been adapted from The New York Times\u2019 simulator. <\/p>\n

With the toughest part of the schedule ahead, the Cowboys have little margin for error. The Cowboys trail five teams for the conference\u2019s three wild card spots. Dallas has only a 1% chance of catching the Eagles in the division, according to the simulator.<\/p>\n
