Terror and panic were captured in the 911 calls when a house exploded in Chino Hills earlier this month, according to the audio clips exclusively obtained by NBC Los Angeles Monday.<\/p>\n
A total of eight people, including children, inside the home were injured after a gas leak caused the explosion on the house on Sierra Vista Drive on Sunday, Nov. 16. <\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s people screaming. The roof is blown up. I think there was like a gas leak or something,\u201d one caller said while speaking with a 911 dispatcher.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Another person called to report \u201ca lot of people\u201d were injured.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s just gone. It\u2019s just lifted up,\u201d the caller said about the exploded house.<\/p>\n
A neighbor also called to urge first responders to rush to the scene.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u2019re saying a few people are inside (the house.) They\u2019re saying the baby\u2019s inside, and one of their brothers is inside,\u201d the caller said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
More calls were made to 911, describing the harrowing scene.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s one girl laying on the ground,\u201d another caller said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
At least 16 homes nearby were evacuated as a precaution following the blast.\u00a0Investigators said the powerful blast spread debris in front of the home as well as across the street.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A fundraising page said the house belonged to the Soleto family, adding that the explosion happened when the family got home, and one of the children turned on the lamp.<\/p>\n
