Ned Fulmer revealed a diagnosis he received following a health scare in 2013 in a new video he uploaded to YouTube on Nov. 23<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
The creator shared that he was hospitalized after collapsing while walking to the bathroom in the middle of the night, unable to pull himself up with the strength of his legs<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
The health update comes several months after he returned to content creation following his infidelity scandal in 2022<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Ned Fulmer<\/a> is opening up about a diagnosis he received 12 years ago.<\/p>\n On Nov. 23, the 38-year-old internet personality uploaded a video titled \u201cI Have MS\u201d<\/a> to YouTube, where he revealed that, following a health scare and hospitalization in 2013, he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.<\/p>\n Fulmer \u2014\u00a0who gained notoriety as one-fourth of The Try Guys<\/a>, a YouTube channel that began on Buzzfeed in 2014 \u2014\u00a0shared that he first started experiencing MS as a tingling sensation in his hands, which quickly spread throughout his arms and to his chest and back. After several days of tingling, he went to the hospital, where he received an MRI that found lesions in his brain.<\/p>\n \u201cThe doctor was like, \u2018You probably have MS,\u2019 and I was like, \u2018What is that? Isn\u2019t that really bad?\u2019 \u201d shared Fulmer. \u201cI was totally in denial \u2014 didn\u2019t want to have MS.\u201d<\/p>\n Ned Fulmer\/Instagram<\/p>\n Ned Fulmer<\/p>\n Fulmer left the hospital, hoping that the symptoms would go away on their own, but instead they worsened. In the middle of the night, days after that initial hospital visit, he collapsed on the floor as he was walking to the bathroom and was unable to pull himself up with the strength of his legs. He was rushed to the hospital, where he received more tests.<\/p>\n \u201cI remember sitting in that hospital bed and it getting worse and just being so scared and wondering if I was going to be able to walk again,\u201d shared the content creator in his YouTube video, breaking down in tears.<\/p>\n At that hospital visit, Fulmer received a pair of medications, which helped reduce the inflammation in his brain, and he slowly began to regain mobility in his limbs.<\/p>\n \u201cAt one point, amazingly, I realized I could move my legs again,\u201d he remembered. \u201cIt kind of felt like a miracle.\u201d<\/p>\n 12 years after receiving the diagnosis, Fulmer said that his recent MRI scans have been \u201cclean\u201d and that the \u201ctreatment has been working.\u201d He still has \u201clow-level sensory issues,\u201d which he described as a dullness in his hands and forearms that can sometimes worsen in extreme temperatures, with stress or with alcohol.<\/p>\n \u201cI was keeping it a really big secret for a long time, and I don\u2019t think that was very healthy for me,\u201d said the YouTuber. \u201cI\u2019m trying to be more open with it, just in conversation, and I am very grateful to be in remission, and I am very happy to be making this video.\u201d<\/p>\n Fulmer\u2019s health update comes several months after his return to the internet following his shocking infidelity scandal in 2022, where it was revealed that he had an extramarital affair<\/a> with one of the employees of his production company, he exited The Try Guys<\/a> and he was edited out of all of their future videos<\/a>.<\/p>\n Noam Galai\/Getty<\/p>\n Ned Fulmer<\/p>\n In September, Fulmer broke his silence in a wide-ranging interview with PEOPLE<\/a> about his affair, his time away from the spotlight and his plans moving forward. The internet personality shared that he initially wanted \u201cnothing to do with the internet\u201d after his infidelity was exposed \u2014 but after reaching \u201ca place of healing\u201d with his wife Ariel through time and couples therapy, he regained his interest in content creation.<\/p>\n On Sept. 17, Fulmer debuted a new podcast titled Rock Bottom, the first episode of which was an interview with Ariel, where they shared that they are no longer together romantically<\/a> and do not live together, but continue to coparent their two children.
