The Los Angeles Rams look incredible, but parity reigns from there.<\/p>\n<p>As we head into Week 13, which features NFL games on Thursday, Friday, Sunday and Monday, let\u2019s examine one big question facing each team.<\/p>\n<p><b>1. Los Angeles Rams (9-2)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Last week:<\/b> 2<\/p>\n<p><b>Sunday:<\/b> Beat Buccaneers 34-7<\/p>\n<p><b>One big question:<\/b> Can the playoffs start yet?<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not up for debate anymore \u2014 the Rams are the best team in the NFL. They\u2019re the only team that ranks in the top five in both offensive and defensive expected points added per play. No one is going to have any gripes with the Broncos\u2019 incredible defense. Because of that, Denver doesn\u2019t need a ton from the offense. But can Nix do enough to get them over the hump?<\/p>\n<p><b>Up next: <\/b>at Commanders, Sunday, 8:20 p.m. ET<\/p>\n<p><b>3. Philadelphia Eagles (8-3)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Last week:<\/b> 1<\/p>\n<p><b>Sunday:<\/b> Lost to Cowboys 24-21<\/p>\n<p><b>One big question:<\/b> Can they keep it on the rails?<\/p>\n<p>The Eagles blew a 21-0 lead to the Cowboys, Saquon Barkley never got going on the ground and the vibes in Philly look miserable. And yet, they\u2019re 8-3 and remain one of the most talented rosters in the league.<\/p>\n<p><b>Up next:<\/b> vs. Bears, Friday, 3 p.m. ET<\/p>\n<p><b>4. New England Patriots (10-2)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Last week: <\/b>5<\/p>\n<p><b>Sunday: <\/b>Beat Bengals 26-20<\/p>\n<p><b>One big question: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/6831941\/2025\/11\/23\/patriots-bengals-drake-maye-will-campbell-jared-wilson\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Can they overcome injuries?<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Patriots have had some of the best injury luck in the league, which helped in their shocking start to the season. Until Sunday. Now, rookie left tackle <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/6833490\/2025\/11\/24\/will-campbell-patriots-injury-jared-wilson\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Will Campbell will miss multiple games<\/a>, star defensive tackle Milton Williams is on injured reserve and left guard Jared Wilson will miss at least one game. Their schedule remains easy, but their depth doesn\u2019t look great, and it\u2019ll be tested over the next few weeks.<\/p>\n<p><b>Up next: <\/b>vs. Giants, Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET<\/p>\n<p><b>5. Seattle Seahawks (8-3)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Last week: <\/b>6<\/p>\n<p><b>Sunday: <\/b>Beat Titans 30-24<\/p>\n<p><b>One big question: <\/b>Can they avoid the Rams?<\/p>\n<p>As long as Sam Darnold isn\u2019t facing that Los Angeles defense, he has looked great. If their running game has even a so-so game, can Jones carry the offense?<\/p>\n<p><b>Up next: <\/b>vs. Texans, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET<\/p>\n<p><b>7. Green Bay Packers (7-3-1)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Last week: <\/b>10<\/p>\n<p><b>Sunday: <\/b>Beat Vikings 23-6<\/p>\n<p><b>One big question: <\/b>Is the offense good enough?<\/p>\n<p>In the three games since Tucker Kraft suffered a season-ending injury, the Packers have yet to put up 300 yards of offense in a game. Detroit Lions (7-4)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Last week: <\/b>8<\/p>\n<p><b>Sunday: <\/b>Beat Giants 34-27 (OT)<\/p>\n<p><b>One big question: <\/b>Is the offense fixed?<\/p>\n<p>Thursday\u2019s Thanksgiving game should be a ton of fun with this high-powered Lions offense against a good Packers defense. Then Woody Marks blasted the Bills for 4.6 yards per carry as Houston had few issues on the ground. The Bills are legit in a lot of areas, but they need to figure out their run defense before the playoffs.<\/p>\n<p><b>Up next: <\/b>at Steelers, Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET<\/p>\n<p><b>10. Kansas City Chiefs (6-5)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Last week: <\/b>16<\/p>\n<p><b>Sunday: <\/b>Beat Colts 23-20 (OT)<\/p>\n<p><b>One big question: <\/b>Can they fix the running game?<\/p>\n<p>As Mike Sando outlined in his \u201cPick Six\u201d column, the Chiefs rank last in the NFL in explosive run percentage and have just eight carries of 12-plus yards this season. It has made them largely dependent on the passing game, which has looked stagnant at times.<\/p>\n<p><b>Up next: <\/b>at Cowboys, Thursday, 4:30 p.m. ET<\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\">11. San Francisco 49ers (8-4)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\">Last week:\u00a0<\/b>11<\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\">Monday:\u00a0<\/b>Beat Panthers 20-9<\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\">One big question:\u00a0<\/b>There\u2019s no QB competition \u2026 right?<\/p>\n<p>In his second game back from injury, Brock Purdy was intercepted three times (all in the first half) and managed only 193 passing yards. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-5)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Last week: <\/b>9<\/p>\n<p><b>Sunday: <\/b>Lost to Rams 34-7<\/p>\n<p><b>One big question: <\/b>What happened to the offense?<\/p>\n<p>Through the first six weeks of the season, Baker Mayfield was an MVP candidate, and the Bucs offense ranked seventh in expected points added per play. In the last six weeks, the unit ranks 28th in that stat. Will the dinged-up Mayfield play this weekend?<\/p>\n<p><b>Up next: <\/b>vs. Cardinals, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET<\/p>\n<p><b>14. Jacksonville Jaguars (7-4)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Last week: <\/b>14<\/p>\n<p><b>Sunday: <\/b>Beat Cardinals 27-24 (OT)<\/p>\n<p><b>One big question: <\/b>Is Trevor Lawrence still the guy?<\/p>\n<p>The Jags look a lot better in a lot of areas with Liam Coen \u2014 just not at quarterback. Lawrence ranks 30th in the league in completion percentage, 25th in yards per attempt and 29th in EPA per dropback.<\/p>\n<p><b>Up next: <\/b>at Titans, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET<\/p>\n<p><b>15. Los Angeles Chargers (7-4)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Last week: <\/b>15<\/p>\n<p><b>Sunday: <\/b>Bye<\/p>\n<p><b>One big question: <\/b>Can the O-line find a way?<\/p>\n<p>It seems unlikely, but if they can just find a way to stabilize their front five, this is a team that could make a run. But the injuries to Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater may be too much to overcome.<\/p>\n<p><b>Up next: <\/b>vs. Raiders, Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET<\/p>\n<p><b>16. Baltimore Ravens (6-5)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Last week: <\/b>17<\/p>\n<p><b>Sunday: <\/b>Beat Jets 23-10<\/p>\n<p><b>One big question: <\/b>Is Lamar Jackson actually healthy?<\/p>\n<p>Nothing means more for the Ravens\u2019 hopes this season than Jackson\u2019s health, but the quarterback hasn\u2019t looked like himself since returning four games ago. Is that enough, though? Is the Steelers\u2019 brass OK sitting barely above .500 every year? With Pittsburgh\u2019s difficult schedule to close the season, our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/nfl-playoff-picture\/2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">playoff simulator<\/a>\u00a0gives them just a 20 percent chance of reaching the postseason.<\/p>\n<p><b>Up next: <\/b>vs. Bills, Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET<\/p>\n<p><b>19. Dallas Cowboys (5-5-1)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Last week: <\/b>20<\/p>\n<p><b>Sunday: <\/b>Beat Eagles 24-21<\/p>\n<p><b>One big question: <\/b>Did Jerry Jones actually fix the defense?<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a small sample size, but since the Cowboys traded for defensive tackle Quinnen Williams, they\u2019ve shut down the running game (allowing just 100 total rushing yards over the last two games) and have five sacks. That, and Sunday\u2019s upset of the Eagles, has given them an outside shot at the playoffs.<\/p>\n<p><b>Up next: <\/b>vs. Chiefs, Thursday, 4:30 p.m. ET<\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\">20. Carolina Panthers (6-6)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\">Last week:\u00a0<\/b>18<\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\">Monday:\u00a0<\/b>Lost to 49ers 20-9<\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\">One big question:\u00a0<\/b>Is Bryce Young the guy?<\/p>\n<p>Amazingly, Monday night was Young\u2019s 39th NFL start. And now, that hot streak he was on to close the 2024 season feels like ancient history. Young was bad against the Niners \u2014 18-for-29 passing for 169 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions \u2014 and ranks outside the top 25 in both EPA per play and yards per attempt.<\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\">Up next:\u00a0<\/b>vs. Rams, Sunday, 1 p.m. ET<\/p>\n<p><b>21. Atlanta Falcons (4-7)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Last week: <\/b>25<\/p>\n<p><b>Sunday: <\/b>Beat Saints 24-10<\/p>\n<p><b>One big question: <\/b>Are changes coming?<\/p>\n<p>The baffling move in the spring of 2024 to sign Kirk Cousins to a massive deal and draft a quarterback who was 24 as a rookie (only to sit him for 15 weeks) looked bad then. But it may look even worse now.
