HOUSTON<\/strong> \u2013 Monday\u2019s severe weather and tornado damage left downed trees and a lot of limbs and branches littered across Houston-area neighborhoods.<\/p>\n Here are the steps to reporting and removing downed trees on your property or street:<\/p>\n STEP 1: <\/b>Houston\u2019s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) wants you to start by calling 311 or 713-837-0311 <\/b>to report debris and fallen tree damage.<\/p>\n If you can\u2019t get through on the phone, go to this page on the city\u2019s 311 website<\/b><\/a> <\/b>and click on the yellow box at the bottom right to \u201cReport a Problem.\u201d<\/p>\n STEP 2:<\/b> Take pictures of any damage related to trees, limbs or other debris. You\u2019ll need these for insurance claims.<\/p>\n STEP 3:<\/b> Call your insurance company, and the sooner the better.
